Good with other dogs: Yes, however Bailey has a very dominant personality so gets along best with more submissive personalities.
Good with cats: Interested in them but does not chase.
Good with kids: BBR Policy states no children under the age of 8+.
Object aggression: I prefer to play with toys alone, as I can be possessive of my toys and treats. I also do not like sharing my food but since I eat fast even with a slow feeder that is usually is not a problem.
Special Needs: Dry eye, so ointment is needed 2x daily.
Medications: Tacrolimus compounded eye ointment once every 12 hours. Regular heartworm and flea prevention.
Crate Trained: Yes
House Trained: Working on it. I do really well on a set schedule.
Physical Fence Required: No
My likes: My crate, soft blankets, naps, cuddles, belly rubs, treats, FOOD, playing with my foster brother, chewing and rubber teething toys.
My dislikes: Some men set me off. I show anxiety around some adult males, especially if they are near my yard or kennel--I don’t care for them! I also like to bark when something new comes into my view. I do not like loud tools or appliances. I can take on any vacuum cleaner or power drill. I would much rather be in my crate when any of this is going on.
My ideal home: I may do best in a calm home. I can get overstimulated easily with a lot of commotion. I’ll bark at random noises and at male voices on TV. I like having another dog to play with. I also may do best in a home with a mom and dad who are both home every day. I can get protective over one if I don’t see the other very often.
Additional info you should know about me: I am a super sweet girl who just wants a home that is devoted to me and I will love them to the moon and back. I love to snuggle up to you for a belly rub. I have learned to launch myself on the couch and am learning how to just sit and enjoy my foster mom's lap, and what it is like to get love from my foster mom. However, I'm liking this so much that sometimes I get jealous of any of my foster brothers near me. I do enjoy playing with my foster brothers though! Did I mention that I LOVE food and treats? I am working very hard at taking treats much easier!
I can be a little wiggly for my twice-daily eye ointment, but if I can sit on your lap and snuggle I’ll let you get right in my eye. I have learned that my harness means we’re going somewhere and I get very excited and wiggly. My foster mom says I walk great on a leash. I've even learned to stand still while putting my harness on, which is great because I do sometimes jump when I get excited. When I see kids out in the neighborhood, I like to sit at my foster mom’s feet and watch them play! My foster mom says I did great while camping and interacting with kids at the campground. I am the sweetest girl and have a lot of love to give!
