Intake Date: 1/25/20
Origination Place: Hamilton, OH
Last Update: 4/10/20
Age: 4 (estimated)
Weight: 39.5 lbs
Energy Level: Low to medium
Color & Markings: Brindle and White
Good with other dogs: Yes however Bailey has a very dominant personality so gets along best with more submissive personalities
Good with cats: Interested in them but does not chase.
Good with kids: BBR Policy states no children under the age of 8+. When I see kids out in the neighborhood, I like to sit at my foster mom’s feet and watch them play!
Object aggression: I prefer to play with toys alone
Special Needs: I have dry eyes, so ointment is needed 2x daily. I can be a little wiggly for ointment, but if I can sit on your lap and get a belly rub, it’s a quick and easy process. If I can lick a little peanut butter, I’ll let you get right in my eye. I’m great at taking medication! I have learned that my harness means we’re going somewhere and I get very excited and wiggly. I will pancake on the floor if I am unsure of where I’m going or don’t want to go but usually I can be encouraged to get up and come along.
Medications: Tacrolimus compounded eye ointment. Apply 1/2” strip of ointment to both eyes every 12 hours. Regular heartworm and flea prevention.
Crate Trained: Yes
House Trained: Working on it... I do really well on a set schedule and watched after I eat.
Physical Fence Required: No
My likes: My crate, soft blankets, naps, cuddles, belly rubs, treats, FOOD, playing with my foster brother, chewing, rubber teething toys
My dislikes: Some men set me off. I don’t care for them. I also like to bark when something new comes into my view.
I love to snuggle up to you for a belly rub. I also enjoy playing with my foster brother. I LOVE food and treats! I can jump when I get excited. I do show anxiety around adult males. I may do best in a home with females or with someone who has more experience with male-centered anxiety. I am the sweetest girl and have a lot of love to give!
My ideal home: I may do best in a calm home. I can get overstimulated easily with a lot of commotion. I’ll bark at random noises and at male voices on TV. I like having another dog to play with. I will do best in a home with no adult males and one alpha figure (such as a single adult female)
My intake info: Shelter pull
