Color & Markings: tri-color: black, brown, white
Good with other dogs: yes
Good with cats: unknown
Good with kids: BBR Policy states no children under the age of 8+.
Object aggression: no
Special Needs: dry eye, left ear hematoma (needs recheck),
Medications: eye ointment/drops, monthly heart-worm preventative
Crate Trained: yes
House Trained: in progress
Physical Fence Required: yes
My likes: Head scratches and belly rubs, treats/food, her crate, snuggly blankets, and attention!
My dislikes: Wary of stairs but is learning, hesitant on ear cleaning (on her left ear she had surgery on).
I get along with: Everyone! She loves her humans and her fur siblings.
My ideal home: A home with a yard to explore but a physical fence. She goes down stairs okay but is wary on going back up them, so patience and encouragement will be needed.
My ideal adopter: A couple with lots of patience as she's still learning how to be a dog and the English language PLUS she still has puppy energy. She's not aware of her size and boundaries, so she'll need help with behaviors. Also, someone with prior bulldog experience that understands the need for daily facial fold wipe-downs and twice a day eye medication (for life).
Additional info you might want to know about me: She does well on a leash and if you're in the yard with her, she will stay near you but is independent if she's going potty by herself. Elongated palate may need to be addressed with vet because she wakes herself up at night and doesn't sleep soundly. She also will need work with her humping habits.
My intake info: Bamboo was rescued by an organization in China dedicated to providing a safe haven for all dogs, but particularly those who may be at risk for, or were, part of the meat trade. In coordination with that organization, BBR was able to bring Bamboo from China to the US.
