Intake Date: 10/03/2017 Last Update: 11/5/2017 Date Available: Age: 3 DOB: unknown Gender: Female Weight: 46 lbs Energy Level: low to medium, but I am recovering from surgery and am taking it slow right now. Color & Markings: Brown and white Can go to a home with other dogs: I live with a foster brother now and while I'm curious about him, he is indifferent towards me. We co-exist quite well. If my forever family has a dog, we should go through slow introduction and they should be able to handle my curiousity. I've met some dogs smaller than me and I was more than just curious towards them so dogs my size or bigger may be best for my forever home Can go to a home with cats: I live with a cat now and I only chased him once. I haven't attempted to since my first day at home. Good with kids: BBR Policy states no children under the age of 8+ so, my ideal home will have: Object Aggression: None Special Needs: Frequent facial fold cleaning, regular flea and heart worm treatment, high quality grain free food Medications: I just had entropian surgery so I'm still on some eye drops and antibiotics Crate Trained: Yes. I don't have a crate at home but my mom restricts me with a baby gate. I'm strong enough to push it down, but I haven't. I like to have a safe little space just for me. House Trained: Yes, but I have shown some signs of marking when around other dogs Physical Fence Required: I'm starting to acclimate to my surroundings and show curiousity more and more every day so a fence would be ideal. If that is not possible, I must be leashed when outside and supervised all the time. Adoption Donation: Prior to applying to adopt Bernice please review our adoption process on our website with rules and process information.

My Ideal Home:
If I could pick my ideal home, I would probably do best in a quieter home where I could relax and be comfortable as I startle easily and am very cautious. I have adjusted to my foster mom's daily routine quite well and I politely wait for her to come home every day.
My ideal home would not have a lot of stairs as I'm not steady on stairs. I can do a few, but not a lot for me to get in and out of the house for pottying every day.
I'm currently only 2 weeks post surgery so I needed to be on rest. Mom says we'll soon start going on walks but until then I do enjoy going around exploring our yard for great places to potty.
I like to be around my people and I like to be a part of all of the action in the house. I may appear to be sleeping but I've always got one eye open, ready to go when my people are! I haven't enjoyed much cuddling with my people but I do love to snuggle in to my doggie bed.
Intake info: I was surrendered to BBR as one of the "October 8" pack as I was in a puppy mill type situation. I just had a litter of puppies a few weeks ago but sadly none of them survived.
