Billy
Intake Date: 5/27/2017 Last Update: 6/22/2017 Date Available: 6/22/2017 Age: Approximately 6-years old. DOB: Sometime in May of 2011, so I say you just celebrate with me every day in May! Gender: I'm a sweet little boy! Weight: I'm 62 pounds of beautiful bulldog! Energy Level: I'm a pretty mellow fella' with spurts of energy. I love going for walks when the weather is appropriate and I can even keep up! It's good to get me out and about and getting walks to help keep this weight at a healthy place! Color & Markings: I'm a lovely Fawn boy with Red and White fur markings! I'm a squishy love muffin! Can go to a home with other dogs: I'm good with other dogs (prefer female match, and that will be first considered), but I also like to keep to myself, so I would do great as an only dog or a second pup! Can go to a home with cats: I don't live with any cats, so my foster family and BBR is not sure how I will do with cats. If you are interested in me and have a cat, I would have to be tested to see how it goes! Good with kids: BBR Policy states no children under the age of 8+ so, my ideal home will have: I lived with little kids and adult kids, so BBR says I can go to a home with kids over the age of 8! Fun! Object Aggression: My foster family hasn't reported any issues with object aggression, so it's best that if I move in with another dog that you feed me separately, and maybe put toys up until we get to know each other through a slow intro! Better safe than sorry! Special Needs: I need to have my wrinkles cleaned daily with malacetic wipes and a dry cloth to keep it nice and clean and dry to avoid infection! I also need a High Quality, Grain Free, Limited Ingredient, Chicken Free Diet! Medications: I require monthly Heartworm, Flea & Tick preventative. I could also benefit from a daily joint supplement and a probiotic (both can be purchased OTC). Crate Trained: I am, but I absolutely despise being in a crate. It's best that you crate me to start until we get to know each other. It's best for everyone involved! House Trained: I am house trained, but like all dogs from a rescue, I may take time to adjust to your home! I might mark, and I might even have a few accidents, but give me time and redirection, and I'm sure I will be just fine, but who knows, this may not even happen in your home! My foster mom said that I did take a poo in the house, but that's when I was left alone for a long period of time! Physical Fence Required: Like all dogs, a physical fence is a GREAT idea, and I would love to have one so I can go out and roam with supervision without a leash. But, BBR says I don't have to have a fence as long as I get regular walks, and I go outside on a leash every time. (No leads, I need supervision, like all dogs do) Adoption Donation: $450.00 Prior to applying to adopt Billy please review our adoption process on our website with rules and process information.

My Ideal Home:
I lived in the same home most of my life, and sadly my mom became too busy with work and kids that I was left home for long periods of time. I don't love that, and I deserve much more! So, I've put a lot of thought into this, I think my ideal home will be with someone gone less than 8/9 hours a day! I want to live with a family that wants to spend time with me and cuddle with me every single day! I really think my ideal home will like to take short walks (weather permitting, extreme heat is not great for pups like me). I want a family who will make sure my folds and ears are cleaned regularly to avoid any infections. I had some dental work done, so my smile is amazing, but I sure do hope my new family will make sure I get regular vet care! My ideal family will just think that I'm the best thing that has ever happened to them, and will make a part of their family by being patient, and understanding that this moving around is all new to me!
Intake info: Family Billy lived with was spending upwards of 16 hours a day away from Billy. They report that he's a good boy, does well with everyone. We will have more information on Billy as he moves into his foster home.
