Biyu
Intake Date: 1-16-20 Origination Place: China Last Update: 3-21-20 Age: estimated 1-2 DOB: Unknown Gender: F Weight: 22 Energy Level: high Color & Markings: blue pied Good with other dogs: yes Good with cats: unknown Good with kids: BBR Policy states no children under the age of 8+. Object aggression: none seen Special Needs: none Medications: Crate Trained: no House Trained: Making Progress! Physical Fence Required: preferred Biyu has the cutest little face and personality to match! She’s sweet as can and loves to be held and snuggled on. Biyu was initially shy with her foster siblings, but quickly warmed up and is joining in on the fun! She was very quiet at the temp facility but found her voice when she heard her brothers barking! She is making progress quickly when it comes to house training. As long as you take her out every couple of hours, she remains accident-free. She does not signal that she needs to go, so a regular potty schedule will be very helpful. She follows the prompts from her foster siblings, so a house trained fur brother or sister will assist in this process. She goes in her crate at bedtime with no issue and does not whine at all while she’s crated. She has had a clean crate every morning, but often had a messy cage when she was at the temp facility. If she were crated for long periods, she would likely have no issue doing her business in the crate! Crate training will take some patience if you need to keep her crated during the day. She loves to play and shows no object aggression; she will always give up her toy if another dog shows interest. She IS very food motivated, which will make training easier. She waits her turn for treats - but gobbles them up quickly when she receives them! She is very curious and quick so a fence would be preferred. Biyu will make a great addition to any family - with or without pets! She will be your constant companion and loves to be with her people - giving them all the love she has! My intake info: Biyu was rescued by an organization in China dedicated to providing a safe haven for all dogs, but particularly those who may be at risk for, or were, part of the meat trade. In coordination with that organization, BBR was able to bring Biyu from China to the US. Prior to applying to adopt Biyu please review our adoption process on our website with rules and process information.
