Bosco
Intake Date: August 9, 2015 Last Update: September 18, 2015 Date Available: September 15, 2015 Accepting Applications until: October 9, 2015 Age: 6 DOB (if known): 11/20/2008 Gender: Altered male Weight: lbs Energy Level: low Color & Markings: brown/white Good with other dogs: Would do best with a calmer, submissive dog, though he is very happy being the only one getting the attention!! Good with cats: yes Good with kids: yes Object Aggression: slightly toy possessive Special Needs: dry eyes and hyperkeratosis Medications: eye drops, Aquaphor on nose for hyperkeratosis (coconut oil also works well) Crate Trained: yes House Trained: yes Physical Fence Required: no Adoption fee: $350 AUGUST UPDATE: Bosco is a couch potato love bug. He is content being next to you, cuddling against you. He has very low energy level so as long as their is a nylabone or a robe to throw around every once in awhile he's pretty content. Not to mention a good belly and face rub down to say you missed him. He will need to be on eye drops for the remainder of his life due to his chronic dry eyes and with a slightly elongated palate and pigeon toed paws, he does best with short walks during the day. He is right now on a grain free diet, eating like a champ and really enjoys his coconut oil in his food to help with his skin and coat. He does well with the skin children in his foster home and shows no aggression nor jumps on them so 5+ year old children he would do well with. He does have a tendency to want to lean on you if he's sitting next to you but means no harm. When we take car rides, he enjoys gazing out the window and watching the people, though his belly tends to get a little sick so short trips would be best. Previous owner stated that when another dog would approach him and his owner he would become very upset. He shares the home right now with a young Frenchie that he seems to tolerate just fine until she begins to jump at his face or take away his toys. He will bark at her and let her know she invading his personal space and please back off. We feel he would do just fine being the only dog in the home or a dog more on the calmer side. He enjoys spending his days lying around on the couch, cool spot on the floor or in your bed. Although he is crate trained he prefers to be around his human family. |
