My ideal home: Quiet, not many people in house (gets very anxious around huge groups) My ideal adopter: Someone who is willing to very patient and consistent with me as I’m a very stubborn boy who likes to get his way. I would prefer if someone who is home frequently as I can become anxious when my humans leave me alone. I will thrive with owners who can provide me with lots of love and attention while still being consistent with training and rules. Additional info you might want to know about me: Well, hello there! My name is Buford or “Big Buford” or even “Boofie!” I may be a senior dog but I have the heart and mentality of a puppy and love to play like one! I was a owner surrender who was very spoiled and loved but didn't have many rules. Because of this, I would do best with an energetic family who can commit to consistency with training and who understands I may try and sneak a bite of their food here or there. What can I say, my former owner used to cook me home cooked meals if I wanted! 😁 Unlike a puppy, I am house trained! I enjoy going for late night strolls or getting a little tan in the sun! I just LOVE being with my humans! I will follow you all around the house.. and I can be a little clingy sometimes too but hey you ARE looking for a new bff right?! 😉 I don't love big groups of people visiting, this makes me nervous and I steal their shoes as a coping method. I can also get a short burst of energy where I want to chew on blankets, couch pillows, my bed and shoes. My foster family calls me an interior decorator because I always place their shoes somewhere new if left out. Someone who can help redirect my energy, be consistent and has a good dose of patience would be very IDEAL for me as I was never told “no” before!
