Origination Place: Dayton, Ohio. Owner Surrender Last Update: 4/24/2020 Age: 1 yr 2 months DOB: 2/17/2019 Gender: Male Weight: 65 lbs Energy Level: High Color & Markings: Tan/White Good with other dogs: Yes Good with cats: Yes Good with kids: BBR Policy states no children under the age of 8+. Object aggression: None Special Needs: Medicated Baths, medicated wipes/cyst soaking Medications: Bravecto, Anti-inflammatory post ACL repair Crate Trained: Yes House Trained: 90%, working on it Physical Fence Required: No, but preferred Adoption donation: $950 My likes: Benebones, Chew toys, Humans, Play Time, Snuggly Beds My dislikes: I am pretty carefree! I do get a bit restless during bathtime but thats only because I have had about a million baths now and the soap has to soak in for ten whole minutes !!! I don't enjoy ear cleanings either but I know its a necessity so I'll let you do it. I get along with: Everyone, but not everyone likes me. I would do best with adults/fully grown people due to being high energy and bc of my size. I am a big boy but tend to think I’m smaller than I actually am and can be a bulldozer. Smaller dogs or kids may not like this. I’m not at all aggressive, I just could benefit from manners. My ideal home: would be somewhere with lots of space, I am a big boy and I can be quite rowdy. I like to roll around outside and inside but I prefer my humans be with me wherever I am. Before coming to BBR I was not in great shape and I had a pretty severe leg injury. I've now had surgery to repair it and for the first time I can use steps and I love to run up and down them!!! However, due to my past injuries I should always be monitored on steps or blocked from them completely. My ideal adopter: I need someone with a lot of patience. I may look like an old man but I am still a baby. Only 14 months old and I very much act my age. I am a huge puppy. I still need to learn my puppy manners but I’m eager to please. I would do best with someone who is willing to work on my manners. I am doing very well with potty training! Additional info you might want to know about me: What can I say? I am absolutely adorable! I came to BBR with a severe case of Demodex, leaving me with almost no hair, lots of scabs, and infections. Now three months later after uncountable baths and antibiotics I have nice thick beautiful fur! Demodex is nothing to worry about in my future. It is treated with a routine Flea/Tick/Mite medication called Bravecto. It is just really important that I am given the pill once every three months so the mites don't come back to bite me. I really like my nice fluffy coat so if you arent dedicated to keeping the mites away we will not work out. I recently had to have part of my brand new fur shaved off for an ACL and Patella repair and I gotta say I think the worst part was losing all that beautiful fur! Luckily its starting to grow back already and according to my foster mom and doctors I should have been a lot slower to recover from the surgery but I am a champ and I am well ahead of the recovery schedule. A lot has happened in the first 14 months of my life but overall I am just your normal pup. I love my toys, I love to chew, I love running around the house to check out what is going on everywhere and I love snuggle time. I get along with my foster siblings but I am the youngest and largest! I have a lot of energy and I have a hard time recognizing how big I am so sometimes my foster siblings get upset with me. I am very submissive though and one little growl and I will turn around and go find someone or something else to play with. It can also take awhile for me to run out of energy but once I do I will gladly lay with my head on your lap! So if you are willing to play games with me to keep me entertained when I am awake I will repay you with all the love and cuddles you want when im tired!
