Chloe
Intake Date: 11/2/2016
Last Update: 11/14/2016 Date Available: BBR is now accepting applications for Chloe. Age: My birthday may be sometime in September 2015. My previous owner brought me to her house when I was only 12-weeks old! DOB: September 2015 Gender: Female Weight: approximately 20 pounds Energy Level: I'm a PUPPY! I have lots of energy and I love to play. I get the zoomies, I love walks, and I also like to cuddle when I'm sleepy! Color & Markings: Black with white on my chest! I'm so silky smooth and I love to shine! I have a few brindle-like markings all over my body when the light hits me right! Good with other dogs: I have done very well with my foster sisters, a boxer-mix and shepherd-mix, after a slow introduction. I had a tougher time getting along with the male dogs who came to visit - what are they after, anyway?? I would probably be a nicer pet for someone who either has a relatively active female dog (not a puppy, not a senior) or if I'm the only dog. Good with cats: I have a strong prey drive, I'm super intrigued by all things small, fast, and quirky. I think squirrels, rabbits, and likely cats are there for my amusement, so i shouldn't live with a cat, it's probably best for all involved. Good with kids: BBR Policy states no children under the age of 8+ so, my ideal home will have: Children over the age of 8, I like to run at kids full force and jump and turn around. I get very excited by these wonderful creatures! Object Aggression: Once I met my foster sisters, we have been really good sharing our toys and bones...we even play tug-of-war now and then. Again, I just need time to get to know my new friends. I still eat separately from the other dogs, but I'm doing really well sitting and waiting for treats when others are around. Special Needs: Medications: Crate Trained: Yes, so far so good. I like my crate as my safe space and helps me to slow down. House Trained: I am continuing to work on this, but my foster parents say I am making a lot of progress! When I get to be out and about in the house, I do best with a break outside every hour and a half or so. I am a little dog which means I have a little bladder - if you see me take a big water break, best to go get the leash! Physical Fence Required:Yes, I will need a fence. My previous owners used to do this funny thing where they would chase me around the neighborhood tossing treats and begging me to come home. I learned that this isn't a fun game for them, but it's super scary instead. I can't promise that I won't make that same mistake again, so it's probably best that you have a fenced in yard for me to run off the zooms and to add an extra layer of safety! I've done better at my foster parents' home - I haven't run away, but I spend most of my play time in a fenced in area so none of us need to worry. They have these crazy creatures called "geese" at their home and I LOVE to chase them away from the pond. I don't necessarily pay attention to boundaries when I do that! Adoption Donation: $700.00 |

My Ideal Home:
Chloe has come a long way since joining her foster family! She is good in her crate and gets along with the female dogs in the house. She is definitely still a puppy, so her ideal home would have folks who are excited about having a high-energy, fun-loving companion. She likes to run and play, and is best behaved when she gets time for that! She likes her toys, but loves to cuddle - the warmer, the better (she's been known the snuggle all the way to the foot of a bed under the sheets!). Chloe has had a blast with her foster family, and has learned a lot about being a good puppy, but she would love a family to call her own!
Intake info: Chloe is an owner surrender and close to a year old. Chloe is a sweet and loving girl, but was not getting along with the female pug in the home. Chloe would fight with the pug (mostly over food), and the surrendering family became very concerned for their pugs safety, so they lovingly surrendered Chloe so she can have her best chance. Chloe loves her humans, she loves to snuggle, and she likes to play. Chloe is fast, and she likes to escape out of the house, so Chloe will need a physical fence to add a layer of safety. Chloe doesn't seem to like to share bones/toys with other dogs. So, if Chloe is placed with a passive male dog, it will be important for people to know that she is not a dog that likes to share. Chloe is very picky when it comes to other dogs, so we will further assess this as she transitions to foster care.
