Full Bio: Please meet Chopper! This
handsome red & white gentleman is 8 years young, and weighs about 47
pounds. He came to us in July as an
owner surrender. He is doing very well
in his foster home, and is now looking for his furever home. He loves to be with you 24/7 and loves to be around other dogs to play with. The only negative aspect of Chopper would be when you pull on his harness he will turn around and grab your arm but does not bite down, still working on this as well as he needs to listen and understand NO a little better.
Chopper is a very friendly and handsome boy. He enjoys being with his people, and loves to be petted. He walks just fine on a leash. Chopper gets along well with his foster dog siblings, and would do great in a home with another dog. He enjoys having a good time and playing! He may be 8 years old, but he acts like a young, energetic bulldog. Chopper does not like cats at all, so kitties in his new home. He did live with children in his previous home, so he does well with kids. Children should be a little older, since Chopper does have energy and likes to play – we don’t want him knocking over any toddlers… sometimes he doesn’t realize his own strength. Chopper does not like being pulled back by the collar, and could nip if you do so.
Overall, Chopper is a very healthy boy who is neutered and up to date on his shots. He does require daily eye medications for dry eye, and will need these for life. He is just fine when getting these meds. Chopper does not require a fence, however he should be leashed when outside. He is house trained and crate trained. Chopper is all around a great dog

September Update: We are getting to know Chopper better each day. He would love to be in a family that has other dogs that like to play and have a good time. He may be 8 years old but acts like a young energetic bulldog. He is crate and house trained. He sleeps in the kitchen at night and stays there during the day when we are at work and has no accidents. He also has a crate that is available to him and we have found him asleep in there on some mornings.
He does good on a leash while walking and rides in the car just fine.
August Update: Chopper is a very friendly and handsome boy. He always wants to be with you and be petted. He gets along with his foster dog siblings, Tank and Harley. Gets along well with kids but does not realize his own strength. Walks on a lead just fine. He requires daily eye meds for his eye (failure to do so could lead to costly and painful eye complications later) and he tolerates this just fine. Chopper is an all around good dog and ready for his forever home!
Intake info: Chopper is an owner surrender.
