A great walking companion, she’s also happy cuddling on the couch. She would love for you to be home most of the day. Darla came into rescue with heartworm, and then required emergency surgery for a uterine infection. She is so strong and resilient, she came through it all like a champ. Tiny (36 lbs), smart and sweet. Miniature size, big personality. Crate trained, but vocal about preferring to be with you. Potties outside, signals need to go out but you have to watch for it or will have accidents. You will want to put her on a potty schedule. Adores humans of every size, and cuddling best of all. A former breeder, she was unfamiliar with couches, stairs, doors and toys but learned quickly. She is a grown puppy in many ways; checking out everything, needing supervision and direction about what is ok. She is still a work in progress. She is definitely a people dog, who just wants to be with you! My intake info: retired breeder Prior to applying to adopt Darla please review our adoption process on our website with rules and process information.
