Last Update: 12/1/2017 Date Available: 12/1/2017 Accepting Applications until: Age: 4 years DOB: 11/14/2013 Gender: Female Weight: 20 pounds Energy Level: Low to Medium Color & Markings: Fawn Good with other dogs: Yes Good with cats: Yes curious but not aggressive. Object aggression: None Special Needs: None. Medications: Clindamycin and Rimadyl for her teeth extraction plus the Monthly Flea & Heartworm Prevention Crate Trained: Not really. I like the crate and I don't complain but I'd much rather sleep on the sofa, preferably with my parents! House Trained: Not yet. My foster pawrents are working on this with me every day. Every day I get better but I have some hard work ahead of me! Physical Fence Required: No, but I need to always be leashed when I'm outside. I'm just getting comfortable with this new life outside of my crate. I'm still very scared of new environments and going "outside" is one of those places. If I'm on a leash, I'm not far from my pawrents. I scare easily and without a leash, I might run away and lose my family. Adoption Fee: $500 Prior to applying to adopt Edith please review our adoption process on our website with rules and process information.

My Ideal Home:
Hello, my name is Edith but my foster pawrents call me Edie. I spent all of my life as a foster mill mom and I had a few litters of puppies. But now I'm in retirement and I'm ready for it! My luck has really turned around once BBR came into my life. I'm in an awesome foster home and I even have a foster sister! She's much bigger than me but I still love her and we get along so well. We are the neighborhood watch - we have to keep everyone safe from the noise outside. I look up to my foster sister and I learn a lot from her too. I think having a sibling in my forever home would be awesome! But I would also really love to be an only dog. I'm going to be happy wherever I am as long as I'm loved and taken care of.
My foster home also has a cat and I'm curious about him and I've thought really hard about chasing him, but I don't.
I have my puppy mill issues like I'm still learning to potty outside, learning to walk on a leash and learning what being a pet is all about. I haven't shown any interest in toys but I'm still new to this environment. I will need someone with patience, understanding and hopefully past experience with puppy mill dogs. I have settled in nicely so far in my foster home so I'm sure I will continue learning every day how to be an amazing companion for someone willing to spend some time working with me.
