Intake Date: 4-12-19
Origination Place: Berlin, OH Last Update: May 6, 2019 Age: 12 weeks DOB: February 8, 2019 Gender: Male Weight: 15lbs, 10oz Energy Level: Puppy Level (bursts of energy between naps) Color & Markings: White & Brindle Good with other dogs: Yes Good with cats: Unknown Good with kids: BBR Policy states no children under the age of 8+. Object aggression: No. But he is a puppy; he has to be taught manners Special Needs: Grade 3 heart murmur Medications: Monthly heartworm, flea & tick preventatives. Will need remainder of vaccinations and neutered. Crate Trained: Yes, he is great in his crate! House Trained: No, he is being trained. He will potty outside if taken, but if not watched, will go inside Physical Fence Required: Since I am too young to determine this, preference will be given if there is a fully fenced yard. Adoption donation: $850 My Ideal Home: Hi, I am new here! I am new everywhere – I am just a baby! I was surrendered to BBR because I had a suspected heart murmur, but the good news is that my heart murmur is grade 3, and while I have no restrictions, I will need to have another heart echo at the cardiologist in approximately 9-12 mos. For continuity of care, a Columbus area adopter will be given preference. In addition to the cardiologist, I will need the remainder of my vaccinations, a fecal exam in June and will be adopted out on a Neuter contract. It is imperative that my new owners are aware of my anesthesia protocol.
Other than that, I am a curious, playful, happy, adorable and very snugly puppy! I have started to learn where to potty, and I am already doing really well in my crate. I might cry for a minute or two when you put me in there, but I settle down quickly and quietly. I am very food motivated and I love to eat so much that I sometimes gobble my food down and throw up, if you aren’t helping me to take my time. I also really love my chew toys…and your fingers, your toes and anything laying around whether or not it belongs to me. What can I say, I am a typical puppy! Since I still have lots to learn, a household that has the patience, and time, to train a puppy would be best, and preference will be given to applicants that have prior experience with both bulldogs and puppy training. If there is another friendly, well-trained and puppy-tolerant dog in the household to help to teach me manners and play with me, that would be an awesome bonus. Intake info: Surrendered by a breeder due to suspected heart murmur. Prior to applying to adopt Farley please review our adoption process on our website with rules and process information.
