Intake Date: January, 2020
Origination Place: China Last Update: 3/30/29 Age: 5 (estimated) DOB: Unknown Gender: Male Weight: 31lbs Energy Level: Low to Medium Color & Markings: Tan and White Good with other dogs: Yes but needs to follow a slow introduction protocol Good with cats: unknown Good with kids: BBR Policy states no children under the age of 8+. Object aggression: None Special Needs: None Medications: regular heartworm and flea prevention Crate Trained: Yes. He loves his crate. If you leave the door open he goes in it all of the time. House Trained: Mostly - Yes Physical Fence Required: No Adoption donation: My likes: I like my squeaky tennis ball the most. My dislikes: Other dogs coming at him from the side that his eye is missing. I get along with: Humans My ideal home: One story home is preferable as he wants to go up stairs but he can’t navigate them well and he can’t come back down them. It would also be helpful if your yard is level. Although he gets around with no trouble, he is a bit wobbly on inclines. My ideal adopter: It would be great if someone is home all of the time but not necessary. Feng needs a family that will love him understanding that he has been through a lot and he just wants you to love him. He navigates well in spite of the injuries he had when he arrived in our care. I wouldn’t necessarily call him special needs but you do have to be a bit more mindful with him. Although he thinks he can do anything, he can not navigate steps but he has tried to sneak up ours so if you have steps, you will need baby gates. Steps are a danger to him. He is a curious bulldog so you will need the usual bulldog proofing in your home. This guy has so much love to give and he will instantly melt your heart. True unconditional love is exactly what you will get from this little guy! He is a funny guy too. He will keep you smiling! Additional info you might want to know about me: I only have one eye so you have to be patient and help me find things by showing me through my only eye. I adapt quite quickly. I try to go up steps but it’s not a good idea for me. I have a few scars from my days in China but they don’t get me down. I have a new hip and my knee has been repaired so I walk with a hitch but I’m not in pain and it doesn’t get me down. My intake info: Feng was rescued by an organization in China dedicated to providing a safe haven for all dogs, but particularly those who may be at risk for, or were, part of the meat trade. In coordination with that organization, BBR was able to bring Feng from China to the US. Prior to applying to adopt Feng please review our adoption process on our website with rules and process information.
