House Trained: Working on it. I am doing very well with my training but you must watch me, I get so carried away with play that I forget to take a break.
Physical Fence Required: Strongly Preferred
My likes: I LOVE to play! My favorite hobby is playing with anything that bounces. I also like treats, belly rubs, and cuddling. Did someone say treat? Did I mention balls and anything that bounces? Like a shiny butterfly I am easily distracted. Did someone say ball?
My dislikes: My face cleaning, I try to wiggle and squirm away from my foster mom, yuck get that wipe off my face and let me rub it on the floor now. Lastly, I am still not to fond of the stairs I must say. If you or my fur-sisters go up or down them and I can't see you anymore I sure will make my way up or down them to get to you.
I get along with: Everyone! All dogs, including those bigger than me. I even get along with cats. I will give chase but I am also a little fearful of the furball with legs. They try to antagonize me by running by me. When they stop, I stop and turn the other way to find something more interesting.
My ideal home: A home where I have playtime everyday. I may have a bit too much energy for a smaller, elderly fur-sibling as I can get the zoomies at any moment. Often times I try to be the center of attention and jump right on my sisters who are cuddling with our humans. I mean no harm I just don't know my boundaries or jumping abilities sometimes. Also, a fenced yard is likely going to be best for me. I might just have to chase any bird I see. Foster mom keeps me on a leash when we are walking by them. I am very interested in the chickens and guinea fowl at my foster home. When foster mom reassures me and redirects my attention, I find something else that takes my attention.
My ideal adopter: Someone who will play ball with me and cuddle afterwards.
Additional info you might want to know about me: I am very good for my pedicures. Foster mom uses a dremmel to do my pedicures and I sit still for whomever is holding me. Foster mom says my only possible downfall is my energy, it can get away from me. Did I mention that I also beg? So don't think you'll have a snack on the couch with me in the same room, your lap space is my lap space.
My intake info: Kirby was rescued by an organization in China dedicated to providing a safe haven for all dogs, but particularly those who may be at risk for, or were, part of the meat trade. In coordination with that organization, BBR was able to bring Kirby from China to the US.
