Age: 6.5yrs approx
DOB: Unknown
Gender: Male

Good with other dogs: Yes, however easily over stimulated once engaged in play, leading to some undesired behaviors such as mounting. He is also leash reactive at least half the time. The reactivity is not fear-based it is more over excitement but it is something that needs to be worked on. He was poorly or under socialized and will need work on his manners.
Good with cats: Per prior owner, yes. Foster home does not have cats.
Good with kids: BBR Policy states no children under the age of 8+. Lived with 19 mo old and 4 year old, per prior owner.
Object aggression: Mild, with high value chews
Special Needs: Louie has separation anxiety. This will require dedicated desensitization and counter conditioning training. He currently wears a Thundershirt, uses an adaptil diffuser and takes calming supplements.
Medications: Louie will need a high quality grain free limited ingredient food. He will also need monthly flea, heartworm and tick medications.
Crate Trained: No

My Ideal Home:

Louie is very food motivated, loves to go outside, walks well on leash without pulling or stubbornness but with reactivity to other dogs/some people. He will sit quietly for a bath, and sit nicely in the car. He is a sweet natured dog who needs to build some confidence and learn to be comfortable without his humans. He was left home alone daily with an english bulldog and cat per prior owner. He responds very well to "No"  and will come when called. He likes to be as close to humans as possible. He is a good dog when inside with humans; no inappropriate chewing, no real misbehaving etc. He just does not tolerate being alone. He is good with my french bulldog, plays well until overstimulated (and my young high energy dog is excellent at ensuring all dogs around him are overstimulated!) and then will attempt to mount. He does not bother my dog otherwise; no aggression at all other than some inappropriate but mild object aggression specific to high value chews. I am able to take them from him. It is possible Louie was trained to go to his "place" because when given one, he will take a treat/chew to a bed and lay there with it. I have been unsuccessful in getting him to go to it with a "place" command. The dogs are separated when eating from their bowls, however I am able to hand feed them side by side, with only a little pushiness from Louie, easily corrected with a "Louie, sit". Louie has been introduced to a crate in an effort to start some crate training. At present, he is getting used to it being in the living room and occasionally getting a treat that I toss into out of it. Louie will need to be let out frequently; he urinates frequently with frequent "piddle" accidents indoors.
