Intake Date: 5-16-19
Intake description: SPCA
Last Update: 6/25/19
Age: 6 (estimated)
Energy Level: Medium leveled. Gets excited with new people but also loves lounging around.
Color & Markings: White with brown left ear & brown tail
Good with other dogs: yes, he does great around other dogs. Not dominant. Loves to play.
Good with cats: Not sure but I would assume by his reaction to new humans and dogs he would love them too.
Good with kids: BBR Policy states no children under the age of 8+. Any person he has been around he loves. He just wants love.
Object aggression: no object aggression but doesn’t understand other dog’s personal space. He is being corrected on this behavior.
Special Needs: none
Medications: monthly Heartworm & flea prevention. 100mg trazodone (morning & night) for anxiety. I think eventually his furever home may be able to transition him off this but I could be wrong. Also nose & wrinkle cleaning with malacetic wipes and then making sure his booty pocket is cleaned out after he does his business. The vet has trimmed up under his tail to help with this. Also weekly ear cleaning
Crate Trained: yes, but he prefers to free roam and does well at not getting into anything he shouldn’t
House Trained: yes
Physical Fence Required: preferred, although if no fence he must always be leashes
Adoption donation: $575
My Ideal Home:
my ideal home is a home full of love. I’m ok with kids & other pets. Also a home who enjoys spoiling me. I love kisses and them laying on the floor with me just telling me how much they love me. However I require patience at first because I get nervous and take a few days to get use to my new home. Once I adapt I am a dream dog in every aspect. My only “flaw” is I get random jolts of hyperness and want to run out the door anytime you do, so training for that is required. My hobbies are following my humans around (at first I’ll really follow you but once I get more comfortable I’ll lighten up just a little), eating (love my food so much), drinking (I like to graze the watering hole all day), looking out the windows (see what’s going on outside, my favorite thing), and snoring 😴. I am still learning how to play with toys but I look forward to my future forever home to help teach me about the fun I’ve been missing. I get very excited when I meet new dogs and new people so I just require my humans to know when it is time I calm down as I cannot judge that for myself and I will have a breathing attack. It is important to note that I don’t like to be manhandled and I do have a fear or car rides. I cannot wait to find a home that loves me and wants to take care of me, as I am just learning what that is.
My intake info: family gave him to a shelter as they felt he was too much work (all bulldogs are, but they provide love in return and is very rewarding) and BBR pulled him from the shelter.
