Origination Place: Berlin, OH Last Update: 4/14/20 Age: APPROX 7 yrs DOB: Unknown Gender: Female Weight: 19.5 lbs Energy Level: Med Color & Markings: Tan Good with other dogs: Yes, loves them Good with cats: unknown Good with kids: BBR Policy states no children under the age of 8+. Object aggression: None Special Needs: None Medications: Regular heartworm and flea prevention Crate Trained: Yes-loves her crate House Trained: Working on it Physical Fence Required: Recommended Adoption donation: My likes: I LOVE my crate, it's my sanctuary and I even stay in there when the door is open. I love being able to go in and out of it whenever I want! I have also discovered I love marrow bones and chew toys. I love snuggling in bed with my foster parents, getting my belly rubbed, and playing and 'snuggling' with my fellow adoptee, Ann. I light up around other dogs. My dislikes: Being a mill rescue I have never had a leash and it is not my favorite thing. When it is put on I flatten out like a pancake, but my foster dad has been working on it and I did walk a few feet the other day, but I will need a lot of work with this. Also I am very shy and learning that being approached is not a bad thing. I get along with: I get along with my foster sister and I am being fostered with another Frenchie, Ann. We were rescued from the same place and we get along great, she has really helped me through this transition. My ideal home: I think I would like a home that had another dog that wants to play and bond with me. And a home that will give me a lot of attention. I can chew when I get anxious. You will also need to let me out regularly, a girl's gotta pee. I don't go potty in my crate or foster parents bed, where I sleep. My ideal adopter: Someone who has the time and patience to nurture me and help me come out of my shell. Someone who can keep me on my regular schedule so I can keep up with my house training. Additional info you might want to know about me: I am the most gentle, shy, and cutest thing you have ever seen and whoever gets me will get snuggles and nothing but love! I'm learning how to be a dog, but it is taking a little longer than usual. My foster parents think I'm doing a great job building my confidence! A fenced in yard isn't necessary, but preferred since I'm not so great on a leash. I don't take off, but if my buddy does, I'm right behind them. I am great guard dog...when I hear someone come in I announce my presence. My intake info: Retired breeding dog Prior to applying to adopt Nioma please review our adoption process on our website with rules and process information.
