Petey
Intake Date: 12/22/2016 Last Update: 1/10/2017 Date Available: 1/15/2017 Age: Approximately 8-years young and LIVING! I have so much life in me and I'm just a super chill fella. DOB: Sadly we don't know my date of birth, but I know it was a GRAND day for all! Gender: I'm an old fella, but look at all this cute male bulldogness! Weight: I'm a healthy lover at 56 pounds or so! Energy Level: I love to take as many naps as possible during the day and sleep all night. I do like to play with toys and will get those out and let my humans play with me. I can go on short walks, but my arthritis makes it harder and harder. Color & Markings: Fawn and white Can go to a home with other dogs: I do very well with my foster brother. He's a bit smaller than me and respects my age and size. We do like one another. Can go to a home with cats: I've never been around cats, but I'm not very quick, so I'm probably okay to be with some dog savvy cats. Good with kids: BBR Policy states no children under the age of 8+ so, my ideal home will have: Children ages 8+, I like children and I can even be seen hanging out with my human foster sister. I like her, she's very sweet. Object Aggression: I don't have an aggressive bone in my body according to my foster family, but then again no one has given me any reason to be aggressive and protective. Special Needs: I take medication (one pill) every evening to help with my arthritis. I also should be given monthly heart worm preventative and a joint supplement. Something like Phycox can help these old bones and joints! I also need to have my wrinkle folds and tail pocket cleaned daily. This is very common among all bulldogs. Also, a quality grain free diet such as Natural Balance Sweet Potato and Venison is what I eat. Medications: (See Special Needs) Crate Trained: Yeppers, as a matter of fact, that is where I choose to sleep at night. If you say "ni-night" I will go right in! House Trained: I am fully house trained! I marked my foster home once when I arrived, but that stopped before it even really got started. Physical Fence Required: I'm not going far or too fast, so no physical fence is required (no invisible fences) Adoption Donation: $250.00 Prior to applying to adopt Petey please review our adoption process on our website with rules and process information.

My Ideal Home:
My ideal home will let me chill and snore as frequently as I want! I don't really want a house with a lot of chaos, since I'm growing into my senior years. Let's be clear though, I have so much life ahead of me, it's not even funny! I like short walks, I like to play with my toys when I'm in the mood, and I like to be with my humans. My foster family told the people at BBR that I love to have a good belly rub while I insert my 56 pounds right onto your lap. They tell me I'm not a lap dog, but I find that hard to believe since I can get up there! If snuggling, snoring, back scratching, eating, and chasing sweepers is your ideal day then I'm the dog for you!
