Roscoe
Intake Date: 10/21/16
Last Update: 12/15/2016 Date Available: Roscoe is available now, we are now accepting applications. Age: 6 (approximately) DOB: 10/21/2010 Gender: I'm one handsome male bulldog! Weight: Wait for it.......81 lbs of big handsome beefy butt! Energy Level: look, I'm pretty low energy, but I have spurts of feisty! I like to sleep hard, play with toys harder, eat like a boss, and then sleep again! Color & Markings: Get this, I'm silver/white, Yeah silver! This coat is so handsome. Can go to a home with other dogs: It has been determined that due to me being all sorts of bulldog both in size and sass, it would be best if I'm an only pet! I tend to love to cuddle with my people, and because of some pretty nasty experiences with dogs in my previous home, and some major medical neglect, I am not very trusting of other dogs. I used to get attacked regularly by another dog in my home and now I'm sadly filled with fear aggression toward other dogs. Can go to a home with cats: I love attention, and I don't love other dogs, but sadly, my foster family doesn't have a cat, so we don't know how I would do really. Good with kids: BBR Policy states no children under the age of 8+ so, my ideal home will have: Foster mom says that I can be easily intimdating because of my big guy size and stature, but that really I am lust a love bug. But due to this I wold probably do best in a home with kids 15+ so they arent easily intimdated by me. Object Aggression: Vaccums! Ummmm have you seen that thing? I mean what is it, a toy, a species? Either way it's probalby best to keeo us separated. Special Needs: I need a quality grain free/chicken free diet. I would do best on a strict feeding schedule so that I can keep my weight manageable. I would also benefit from daily joint supplements to help my joints carry around all this beefy stuff. I take daily eye medications for dry eye. I also would do well on a daily probiotic, as that would really help my digestion and help me feel good on a daily basis! Medications: Tacrolimus and Optix for eyes for life. I do well taking these medication(s) and they are really what I need for dry eye. It's important to consider this, but it's really not as costly as you might fear! Just talk to my foster mom, she can tell you all about it! Crate Trained: Yes, I am! I do just fine in there! House Trained: Yes, which makes me a special gem they say at BBR! Physical Fence Required: Foster mom says that I dont wander from the yard so a physical fence isn't necessary. But I am a bit older and set in my ways and sometimes dont like being told to come inside, so now foster mom puts a lead on me so I will come inside when its time. Unless of course you are outside watching me, and feel like coming to negotiate my coming inside :) Adoption Donation: $400 |

My Ideal Home:
My ideal home will have no other pets, I don't have to never be around other dogs, but I definitely am not really interested in living with them either. I came from a home where sadly my family didn't really take care of my extensive medical issues I came in with to BBR, they also had another dog that I would fight with all of the time. What really happened is this other dog attacked me and caused some fear aggression in me. Sadly. I am a snuggle bug, I love my humans, I'm also pretty low energy, so as long as I have a warm bed, a regular diet, my eye meds, and family who thinks all my big love is just perfect, then I'm a happy fella. My ideal home will make sure I have a good diet to keep this skin and digestive system working well! I don't wander the backyard, so I don't need a fence, but I'm a bit of a stubborn fella and I'm not coming inside until I'm just about ready. I also am gonna need someone to buy me these things for dogs called "antlers". I LOVE THESE THINGS! I will just chew on it for as long as I want and it's just so yummy. All-in-all I'm just a big, hunka, love. I want to land in my forever home and be oodled over for as long as possible. HEY, 6-isn't old by the way! It's the perfect age is what I hear! I hope you will consider me and I will see if you will do for my forever family! :)
Intake info: Roscoe...ohhh Roscoe. He comes to us from an owner surrender who could no longer care for him or afford his medical care. It's no surprise either given all that he requires. This guy has an elongated palate and stenotic nares making it extremely difficult for him to breathe. His eyes are a mess as are his skin and ears. He needs neutered and all vaccines brought up to date. Our info is limited at this time but we will post more as it becomes available
