Roscoe

Prior to applying to adopt, please be sure to read the process information for adoption, accompanied by the rules for adoption consideration: See Link: Adopt a Bulldog
Intake Date: December 11, 2016
Last Update: 1/16/2017
Date Available: 3/1/2017
Age: I'm approximately 4-years old!
DOB:  May 8, 2012
Gender: Male

Weight: 61.5 petite pounds of bulldog love.
Energy Level: I love to play and can get a bit rambunctious!  I love to hang out on the couch and then lay by the fire (in the fireplace)!
Color & Markings:  My fur while still a bit pink from some allergy issues and not being cared for properly before is black, brown, and brindle.
Can go to a home with other dogs: I do well with all dogs, young, old, male, female. I seem to think they are all super cool!
Can go to a home with cats: Yes, I sure can! I don't really care about them and I just ignore their existence :)
Good with kids: BBR Policy states no children under the age of 8+ so, my ideal home will have: I enjoy children and I love when they pet me. I can be adopted to a home with any child over the age of 8+.
Object Aggression:  I'm not much for aggression, so no food or object aggression for this fella!
Special Needs: I have what they call "dry eye". It is something that is very common among bulldogs and they tell me that with some eye meds daily and occasional antibiotic ointment, my eyes will be a-okay! I also need a high quality-limited ingredient-grain free diet. This will help my health and keep my fur looking super handsome!
Medications: Eye medication and some medication to help with my fur and skin issues. My foster mom can tell my adoptive family all about this when it's my time to be adopted!

Crate Trained: I am crate trained, but I'm not much a chewer and I tend to sleep while people are away. Right on your couch! So, if you are one who doesn't want me on your furniture, I might not be the best bully for you!
House Trained: I'm mostly house-trained, but I haven't really mastered the art of telling my family when it's time to go outside. It would be best to keep me on a routine and teach me how to tell you it's time to go outside!
Physical Fence Required: I'm not a runner, so I don't need a physical fence, but I do need to go on regular walks. If you are someone who doesn't like to go on walks, that might not work for me, but I do not like to leave my humans, so a leash and harness are all I need when it's time to go outside.
Adoption Donation: $475.00

My Ideal Home:

I would like a home where I would get plenty of attention, both by my human and by my new brother or sister of the fur type! I really should go to a home with other dogs, I do very well with them and learn a lot from them too. Apparently, I have not been taught very many doggie things this far in my life, I do now know how to sit, especially for treats and for my dinner. I love to go bye bye and go for a walk everyday. I'm a good boy on a leash. I love going shopping, and while there I take full advantage of my adorable bulldog face and underbite by mooching pets from everyone I see.

I don't like the snow or wet grass on my paws so if there is snow on the ground I have no problem using your flower beds as my potty spot, maybe you can teach me that snow or rain isn't going to hurt me!

I love to chew on antlers, but I really should never have any bones that might have meat scraps on them, because of my allergies. I like to play with toys and just basically hang with my peeps. I am just now learning that cuddling is awesome!! I was very quiet and reserved at first, my foster momma thought I was depressed. But boy was she wrong about that!  I am happy-happy-happy now, and I will not let her out of my sight. I love my food and all treats, however my foster rmomma is now not letting me have all the good stuff anymore because she says we have to figure out what is causing my belly and chest to be red and itchy.

I really love playing with my foster sisters (they have fur like me). I get really wild and love to jump and romp with the girls.. but do you blame me?? They are very pretty girls and I love to play!

Are you my best fur-ever home possible? If so, apply for me now: Adopt a Bulldog

Intake info: Roscoe is currently in his foster home as we get to know him. He has some allergy issues and his fur is coming along nicely as he adapts to new medication(s) and a high quality diet.
