My ideal home would be:
Hi all! My name is Rufio and I am an amazingly handsome 2-year-old English bulldog. I adore people of all ages and sizes and especially am connected to whomever takes on the role as my primary care giver. Since coming to my foster home, my foster mom has been slowly exposing me to various stimuli and great news, after each test she gives me a big smooch, so I am assuming I passed with flying colors. We’ve walked on a leash, I’ve allowed people to greet me at the park, I play nicely with my foster brother and I even let foster mom and brother near my food bowl while I am eating without making a peep. I’m a ‘what’s mine is yours’ type of guy! I am a BIG boy (the ground rumbles when I plop down on the floor) and still have some puppy energy if not exerted throughout the day. I often times don’t realize my size and can be a little too rough. I’m used to being alpha male but I respond well to an alpha owner. I really don’t mean to jump on people; I just need someone who will be patient with me as I learn my manners. I think I’ll do best with someone who is experienced with bulldogs and their stubbornness! I’ve been told although I’m stubborn that I am wickedly smart, so I’ll get the hang of these so called manners in no time. I am the master of the word ‘no’ and stop immediately whatever I am doing if you disapprove. Do not let my butterball figure fool you however; I’m not much for food. I eat my dog food for breakfast and dinner but never beg for anything more. In the last 24 hours I’ve sampled more treats from foster mom than I know what to do with and I dislike them all. I’m watching my figure, okay! I can’t wait to find a home that will make me a member of their family. I don’t like being left out of anything, so a family that has ample time for walks, playtime and snuggles would be my absolute dream. I promise, if you commit to me and make me a priority, I will be the absolute best friend you could ever wish for.
