Sasha

Intake Date: 5/8/2017
Last Update: 6/18/2017
Date Available: 7/3/2017
Age: I'm a sweet old gal, but don't let that scare ya!
DOB:  Unknown
Gender: I'm a little lady and a beautiful one they tell me!

Weight: I'm 48 pounds of little bulldog love!
Energy Level: My foster mom says I'm mostly lazy and I do still have moments of playfulness that comes in spurts!
Color & Markings: I'm Cream and White
Can go to a home with other dogs: I do okay with other dogs, but I like it when they are nice! I don't like it when they get pushy, and I can be a bit pushy back. So, I would do best in a home with friendly dogs and with a SLOW intro!
Can go to a home with cats:
Not much interaction with cats but my foster mama thinks I wouldn't pay them much attention. So it's really up in the air, and the adopter would have to test Sasha with cats to see how it goes!
Good with kids: BBR Policy states no children under the age of 8+ so, my ideal home will have: Not much interaction with them but I am quite the little lady so my foster mama thinks I would do fine. Children will be ages 8+
Object Aggression:  None at all really.  I love my chow and will do almost anything for food.  My foster family feeds me separate from both of my fosters brothers because I have been know to try and get to their food too! (This is very important, and Sasha will have to have all of her meals separately).
Special Needs: I have a small issue with one of my front paws where it looks like I may have been injured before with no treatment, but it doesn't stop me from getting around. Also, I'm having more and more difficulty with my hearing as I age, but I can hear you just fine, I'm just a stubborn bulldog!

I will need a high quality, grain free, limited ingredient, chicken free diet. This is very important to make sure I don't have any allergy problems!
Medications: I require monthly
heart worm, flea & tick preventative. I could also benefit from a joint supplement to help with my aging bones.
Crate Trained: I am crate trained, but don't seem to bother much when my foster family isn't home. It's best that when I transition I use my crate to help with feeling safe.
House Trained: I am house trained, but please remember that I am a rescue pup, it's possible that I will have a time of adjustment when I come to your home. Once I feel safe and sound, I'm sure any accident that I MIGHT have will stop, but my foster mom says no issues in her home!
Physical Fence Required:
I move pretty slow and while a fence would be nice, it's not required. I love to go on short walks on my leash! When I see the leash come out I get sooooo excited!

My Ideal Home:
My foster always says "Sasha is a sweet little princess who loves attention and being petted." I would do great in a home with an older person to act as a companion, but that's just an idea, and not a requirement. I am relatively low energy but I do get spunky from time to time. I would enjoy going for short walks every day, but I do not require them to go potty outside. I am very affectionate and sweet but will not be pushed around by other dogs. My foster mom says that me and my foster fur brother that is a senior like me (He's 11.5 years old) get along great. I lounge around with him all day. I have another younger foster fur brother, and we don't get along so well, but that is because he is a bit pushy with me.  I would do well with other dogs as long as they don't try and show dominance with me and the new family does a slow introduction with them. I do not do too well on stairs and I'm not  big fan of being picked up and carried around, so I would do best in a home with only one level or at least a level that I have full access to. I have been spayed and my incisions are healing well. It is important to keep me on my diet that keeps my stool soft so that I do not strain when going to the bathroom. I require my folds, eyes and bum to be cleaned daily just as all bulldogs do to maintain my beautiful appearance :) From my foster mom "She is a sweet little lady who will make some family very happy!"

Intake info:

This sweet girl is around 9-10 years old and was surrendered due to medical issues. We are trying to figure out what's going on with her - her breathing is bad and she's leaking blood from her rectum.

Thank you to my sponsors!:
