Intake Date: September 24, 2016
Last Update: *Tuna's Updated Bio will be completed after 10/31/2016
Date Available: 10/28/2016
Age: Estimated Age: They are saying that I'm 7-9 years old. In other words, I'm wise and have seen some things.
Weight: I'm a petite gal, coming in at a simple 17 pounds.
Energy Level: I like to play fetch if you are interested! I like to lounge and am pretty low key.
Color & Markings: I'm a lovely fawn color and am sure that my coat will be even fancier once I'm eating great, quality, grain free food!
Good with other dogs: Yep, I like other dogs and I think they are just lovely. I of course appreciate a slow intro. Slow and steady wins the race!
Good with cats: I'm not really sure. I've never really had to share my space with a cat in my foster home, so I haven't come to any final conclusions.
Good with kids: I haven't been with many kids, but I'm friendly enough according to my foster family. I think children 8+ will be just fine.
Object Aggression: Nope, I'm not much for aggression in general.
Special Needs/Medications: I need monthly heartworm medication because I'm not really sure worms is a good look for anyone. I do have an eye ointment that I need twice a day for life due to chronic dry eye.
Crate Trained: I am crate trained, but if you really want me to comply with spending time in my crate, it's probably best you lure me in with a treat. Who doesn't love a good treat when it's time?
House Trained: Yep, I sure am. My foster mom and dad are so impressed that I am quite the lady and only handle my business outside where I'm supposed to!
Physical Fence Required: I like to go on walks, but a physical fence isn't really required. I think however if I'm adopted you should plan to keep a harness and leash on me at all times. I'm not really sure what a rabbit or squirrel is, so I'm not sure if I would want to wander off behind them.
Adoption Donation: $300.00

My Ideal Home: Tuna, who we refered to as Lulu, actually doesn't respond to any name yet! She is a very sweet dog who if she could climb all the way up you she would. She just likes to be in your face. For this reason, I feel someone that is home often would be a great match. She does do well in a crate though for longer periods. It would be nice given her age to see her go to a home that she can spend her quality years laying beside her human all day. She had four teeth removed which makes it difficult to chew her food. We soften it with water now since she kept choking on it. We are continuing to get to know her and hope to see positive things come out of her. She doesn't seem interested in learning at all. We are trying to teach "Off" and "Sit". She doesn't seem to care. She has the biggest brown eyes that will totally make you melt. We won't even tell you about her grunting which might be the cutest thing! She hates the cold. She is very skinny so we are hoping she will put some weight on while in foster care.
