My likes: I love to be scratched under the chin and behind the ears. I like having a place of my own and having my crate door open when I'm not in it. This lets me go in and hang out in my space when I want. I don't really seem to care about toys much but I do like to chew on an antler every now and then, am love a good “churro” dog treat! I like just hanging out with everyone and love to snuggle with other dogs.
My dislikes: I'm not used to things being really noisy. I'm not a big fan of loud noises!
I get along with: People and other dogs. I'm just starting to interact with the other dogs at my foster home and I do play a little with them a little—I'm just not quite sure how to play yet!
My ideal home: My ideal home is a place where I can get lots of attention and cuddling. I need a home where I can continue to heal from my knee surgery and can continue to blossom. A fenced yard would be really cool too, so I can go out and explore in my own way and time. I'd do better in a home without a ton of stairs since I just had knee surgery and have some hip issues, so the fewer steps, the better!
My ideal adopter: I would like someone who is home a lot. It's ok to be gone, but I don't want to be home alone all the time—I really like having someone in the house. Do you like to talk? Me too! I can be vocal and would love someone who would talk to me. I'm still figuring out how to live in a home (it's great, but new!) so someone who is laid back and patient with me would be a dream!
Additional info you might want to know about me: I'm a little shy when I first meet someone but I do warm up—and then you'll get to see my happy stampy feet when I see you! Talking to me in a playful baby voice will make me all wiggly, too! I'm just learning to take treats from a hand—boy, do I love those Jiminy's Cricket Treats! I know my name and get happy when I hear it I do want to try to shred bedding and have put my mouth on cords so it’s best to keep an eye on me so I don’t mess with anything I shouldn’t!
