Energy Level: High/Puppy Color & Markings: Blue merle Good with other dogs: Yes Good with cats: Yes Homes with children under 8 (but over 5) can be considered: Yes Object Aggression: None Special Needs: Pulmonary stenosis and heart murmur (more information below) Medications: Monthly heartworm and flea/tick preventative Crate Trained: Yes House Trained: Working on it! Physical Fence Required: No My likes: I like everyone and everything! I love toys, especially crinkle ones and bones. I really enjoy cats, especially ones who will play back with me. I love the fireplace and being warm. I like snuggling with any human who will sit with me. I like to be touching my foster sibling animals at all times.
My dislikes: I don’t like being cold. I also chase the vacuum and the mop, but I don’t necessarily dislike them. I get along with: Everyone so far! My foster home has both cats and dogs with varying energy levels and personalities and I’ve adjusted to all of them extremely well. I am a very social puppy and like to be around the other animals. Animals who will play back and tolerate my puppy shenanigans are a big bonus. My ideal home: I would love a home with other animals. I am extremely social and thrive with being around other dogs and/or cats. My current fosters let me on the furniture and in the big bed, which I really love. A fenced yard isn’t necessary for me since I like to stick with the pack, but is always a fun bonus! My ideal adopter: Someone willing to continue to monitor my health and heart condition closely and will love me unconditionally through it. I am a puppy so I am playing a lot of the day, so someone who has the time to play with me and help continue my training. Additional info you might want to know about me: My heart condition will require ongoing monitoring. I also use a slow feeder when eating as I shovel the food without chewing, so this is the safest way for me to eat until I learn to slow down. I just move at puppy speed! Additional info about Cardi's medical condition: Cardi was born with pulmonic stenosis, a congenital heart condition that is unfortunately common in bulldogs. Her condition is considered more severe, with changes already affecting the right side of her heart. At this time, Cardi is stable and enjoying puppy life, but her diagnosis carries additional complexity and uncertainty. Cardi’s cardiologist has explained that while surgical options exist, any intervention for her would likely be palliative rather than curative — meaning it may help manage symptoms but would not reverse the underlying disease. Her care plan is centered on careful monitoring, medical management and future decisions guided by her quality of life. Cardi will do best in a home that understands her diagnosis, is comfortable with ongoing cardiology follow-up, and is able to hold space for thoughtful, informed decision-making over time. This is not a puppy defined by urgency, but one who will require patience, observation, and a steady partnership with her veterinary team. For now, Cardi is doing what she does best — being a puppy, soaking up love, and living fully in the present.
