Intake Date: 09/26/2024
Origination Place: Breeder surrender Last Update: 11/16/2024 Age: 1.5 years DOB: Unknown Gender: Male Weight: 31.2 lbs. Energy Level: High Color & Markings: Black and tan Good with other dogs: No Good with cats: Unknown Homes with children under 8 (but over 5) can be considered: Yes Object Aggression: None Special Needs: None Medications: Monthly heartworm and flea/tick preventative Crate Trained: Yes House Trained: Yes Physical Fence Required: Preferred My likes: Food and fetch are my #1 and #2 loves. I also love playing with my toys, either with my people or alone—I’m really good at entertaining myself. I like chewing on bones (and also just carrying bones around the house, dancing with pride). I also adore chest rubs, being told I’m a good boy, and following my foster mom around the house. My dislikes: I’m a little uncertain about new people sometimes, but will make quick friends if you give me a treat! I get along with: I get along with people and I especially love women! My ideal home: My ideal home would have a fenced yard (though it’s not a dealbreaker if there isn’t one). I would prefer to have all of your attention, so a home without other dogs would be great for me at this time. Other than that, I’m flexible! My ideal adopter: My ideal adopter is someone who will be willing to keep me active so I can get my energy out. I am an athlete, so I’d love an adopter who would take me on walks (I'm really starting to love those!) and play with me while enjoying a good cuddle at the end of the day. I'm thriving hanging with my foster mom while she works from home, but I also do well in my crate when my people are gone for a full work day, as long as they fit in my walks and fetch. My adopter should also be patient and willing to finish training me because I have so much potential and I'm very food motivated so it shouldn't be too hard! Additional info you might want to know about me: I am great in the car and am a decent walker—everything is just so new and exciting that sometimes I forget where to focus! My foster mom says I am incredibly well house trained and know to go out to do my business. I also am happy to go into my crate, especially for a treat! I’m a very curious guy and it’s best to keep an eye on me when I’m out of my crate or outside as I have a tendency to explore things that maybe I shouldn’t. However, my foster mom says I am very responsive and trainable—I already know “no,” don’t like to misbehave, and get SO proud and excited when I am called a good boy!
