My likes: I love apples and carrots! Long naps and head rubs are my favorite. I’m learning that a good chew toy and car rides are great things too.
My dislikes: A lot of things are still new to me, so I startle easily. I'm not a huge fan of quick movements and sometimes the outdoors is overwhelming. And what are these things called leashes? Not suare bout those! I'm working on overcoming my fears though.
I get along with: Everyone! The resident boxer dog in my foster home wants to play nonstop with me, but I pay him no attention. Once in awhile if he’s starting to become a bit annoying I may just give him a quick growl and he backs off. I haven’t been around cats, but I’d say they probably wouldn’t bother me.
My ideal adopter: My ideal adopter is one that would be very patient and gentle with me. They also must be able to lift 40 pounds of bully stubbornness because sometimes I refuse to move… at all! You may have to carry me outside and inside, otherwise I’m staying put. We are working on this daily though. As of right now I’d say I’m a homebody and taking me out and about in public may be too much stimulation and I’d be pretty scared. In time, I’m sure that could change, but for now I'd like an adopter that's content to enjoy spending time with me at home.
Additional info you might want to know about me: I am the most gentle pup my foster mom has ever met and she says I’m the squishiest and cutest If you need a hug at any point during the day, I'm your girl! Bully snuggles are no joke with me.
This is my first time living in a real home, and it’s all new to me, so I am pretty scared and unsure of many things. I’d spend most of my time in my kennel and be pretty content, but my foster mom thinks I need to learn how to freely roam around in the house. So with a little persuading I’ve slowly been exploring and becoming a little more trusting of my humans here. I have these nice soft fluffy beds, but I prefer the floor instead. I’ve found my favorite spot next to the couch, and I could snooze there for hours. Every now and then I’ll get the zoomies outside and I think this catch-me-if-you-can game is pretty fun! I always make sure to stay close to my people though. I’m really starting to love them!
