Intake Date: 10/25/2022
Origination Place: Owner surrender Last Update: 12/13/2022 Age: 2 years DOB: 07/17/2020 Gender: Female Weight: 28 lbs. Energy Level: Moderate Color & Markings: Grey with white chest Good with other dogs: Some Good with cats: See below Homes with children under 8 can be considered: No Object Aggression: None Special Needs: None Medications: Monthly heartworm and flea/tick preventative Crate Trained: Yes House Trained: Yes Physical Fence Required: Preferred My likes: I like treats, soft fuzzy blankets, warm beds, snuggles, affection (chest, belly, and ear rubs), quiet places, playing ball or fetch (I'll bring the toy back—most of the time!), chew toys, being around people, going on walks, car rides, music (soft rock or classical preferred), white noise (when alone or trying to sleep), bath time, and I LOVE finding a warm spot in the sun! My dislikes: I am not a fan of quick movements or loud sounds. I will go in a crate, but I don't love when you lock the door. If left alone, I do much better being contained in small areas (bathroom, laundry room, kitchen, etc.). I’m great at taking plenty of naps throughout the day, but until I’m comfortable with all the various sounds of the night I’m not a fan of sleeping in the dark. I do not like roughhousing or any type of person-to-person horseplay. I get along with: I get along with all people—I love all kinds of attention! I enjoy making human friends. While I do okay with some male dogs, a home without other pets would be best for me due to my current insecurities. When it comes to cats, I’ll ignore them if they ignore me, but I’m not sure if it’s best to cohabitate with them. My ideal home: I would love a home that is peaceful and comforting! A fenced-in yard would be terrific, but I also enjoy walks on my leash! I sometimes try to take the lead but quickly calm down. My ideal home would be warm and cozy. If it had a fireplace that would be a bonus. I love to toast my bum. If not, don’t worry I’ll nuzzle my little noggin under a blanket or your arm for extra comfort. 😊 It might take me a few minutes to warm up to strangers, and I can be quite boisterous until I feel comfortable so a home with less foot traffic would be ideal. However, once I’m settled in, watch out: You will be hooked on my gentle personality! I am not destructive in the house, so a home where I am free to roam would be great, but once I’m attached, I won’t be leaving your side. My ideal adopter: My ideal adopter would be a family that loves to snuggle as I feel most secure when I am nestled in right next to someone. I’d love a family that is as warm-hearted as me. Additional info you might want to know about me: I know simple commands like “sit” and “give paw.” I am currently working on “leave it” and “come.” I’m a smart little cookie who is eager to learn. You will be impressed! I’m not a picky eater and have great table manners. I haven’t met a food that didn’t like me. I’m fond of bath time and love being brushed. I’m not a huge fan of getting my nails trimmed, but if you give me a special treat or some peanut butter, I’ll tolerate it. I am extremely affectionate! My foster mom says I have one of the sweetest dispositions of any dog she has ever met. It certainly doesn’t hurt, that I’m so darn adorable. I love to please, and I’m delighted when I’m making you happy as well. Although I sometimes have anxiety, it’s easy to eliminate my triggers. A reassuring voice and calming strokes to my back do wonders to calm my precious heart. So, if you love being loved, I will be the perfect match for you. If you are looking for a cuddly companion that will make you laugh and melt your heart, I am the perfect lovebug for you!
