Energy Level: Low/Moderate Color & Markings: White with brown Good with other dogs: Yes Good with cats: Unknown Homes with children under 8 can be considered: Older children preferred Object Aggression: None Special Needs: Sundowners; chronic ear infections. Medications: Senilife XL; Yumove Joint Supplement; OptixCare; monthly heartworm and flea/tick preventative. Crate Trained: Yes, but he doesn’t like it. House Trained: Yes, and is doorbell trained. Physical Fence Required: Preferred My likes: I like a comfy dog bed, gazing out the window, a nice air conditioner vent blowing cool air in my face, relaxing in the sun, short walks, watching TV and being told I’m a good boy. Oh, and cookies, I love cookies. My foster mom says the cookies love me too and I’m on something called a diet. I sure wish I could have more cookies, but according to this diet thing, I’m not allowed. My dislikes: I’m a pretty easy-going kind of guy, but I can be super stubborn. I don’t like the word “no,” especially when it comes to food. I also don’t like change. A routine is really good for me. I get along with: Everybody loves me and I love everyone! Well, except for the vacuum—we’re NOT besties. My ideal home: I would love a home that’s calm, quiet and understanding of my needs. I tend to have barking spells, so apartment living might not be ideal. I like to sleep most of the day away, so I don’t require too much. If you turn on Animal Planet, I’m a happy boy. My ideal adopter: I would be thankful for someone that researches Sundowners and learns how to best care for me, without giving up on me. I’m such a good boy and just want to be loved, spending the best of my with someone who gets me. . Additional info you might want to know about me: I am the sweetest dog! While my disposition is perfect, my ears aren’t so great and I get chronic ear infections. My one ear is what they call stenotic, which means it’s scarring shut. I do need regular ear cleanings to keep my little sound catchers clean and prevent infection. When it comes to ear cleanings, put on your running shoes—you’ll have to catch me! Maybe I should add that to my dislike list, but I didn’t because they feel so good once they’re done. I’m going into this thing called Sundowners, which is like doggie dementia. At times I get confused and scared but do well when comforted by my family. I may get stuck behind furniture and need someone to gently and calmly guide me out. I’m loving life, I just get a little confused sometimes. When things bother me or confuse me, I’ll bark at them. It helps if you come and pet me and tell me everything is ok. Calming teats help too! Despite my medical challenges, I am really just the best boy. My foster mom says I’m a cutie pie, whatever that is!
