Origination Place: Breeder surrender Last Update: 09/27/2023 Age: 2 years DOB: 10/27/2020 Gender: Female Weight: 38 lbs. Energy Level: Moderate Color & Markings: Tan and whiteGood with other dogs: Yes Good with cats: Unknown Homes with children under 8 can be considered: Children 8+ preferred Object Aggression: None Special Needs: None Medications: Monthly heartworm and flea/tick preventative Crate Trained: Yes House Trained: Working on it! Physical Fence Required: Yes My likes: I adore food, especially treats with bacon and cheese flavors. Full-body massages are heavenly, especially when they include head and ear rubs. I'm learning to play and love when my canine foster siblings join in the fun. I love sitting with my foster mom and experiencing all the joys of having a human who loves me—we talk, give smooches, take selfies, play "give me the paw," and I'm incredibly curious about what's on her cell phone. I'm curious about toys too, and there are always new ones to try, although I haven't found my absolute favorite just yet. My dislikes: Currently, I don't like being picked up. I'm not a fan of sudden movements or loud noises either. The word "no" can send me into a corner or freeze me up, but I'm quite forgiving if you offer a few pets or head scratches. I get along with: I'm good with other dogs, even the grumpy ones; I usually just walk away. My ideal home: My ideal home would have a fenced yard and not too many stairs to navigate. A home with other dogs that can show me the ropes would be fantastic! Other than that, I just request that my home have a crate with a thick fluffy mat and a soft pillow! My ideal adopter: I’m still coming out of my shell and learning how to dog, so my ideal adopter is one that has patience and understanding as I figure things out. My adopter will need to be patient as I perfect potty training and walking on a leash. With a little time, I’m going to be great at both! Additional information you might want to know about me: My foster mom sometimes calls me pumpkin, because I’m as round and plump as one! Or maybe I’m a pirate instead, because I only have one eye—but it hasn’t slowed me down yet! I’m new to being a pet, but I’m quickly discovering that the world is a fascinating place. I like playing with my canine foster siblings and exploring all the exciting things outside. When I get scared, I can shut down a bit, but I’m learning every day that life as a dog can be a very fun thing! I’m still learning how to walk on a leash, but am a quick learner. I’m already picking up commands like “sit” and “stay,” so teaching me new things will be a breeze! My charm and sparkling personality will win you over in no time.
