Energy Level: Low Color & Markings: Tan and white Good with other dogs: Yes Good with cats: Unknown Homes with children under 8 can be considered: No Object Aggression: None Special Needs: None Medications: Monthly heartworm and flea/tick preventative Crate Trained: Yes House Trained: Yes Physical Fence Required: Yes My likes: I like to go outside and relax and take in the world! I am also a huge fan of cream cheese and really cheese in general—if you want to win me over, cheese is a great way! My dislikes: I am scared of anything loud! I’m also not a fan of people being too close to me when I’m outside, quick movements or being picked up too quickly. I get along with: I love my canine foster brothers and sisters! I like to follow them when no one is looking. When my foster mom is not looking I have attempted to be a dog and get into some mischief with my foster siblings! My ideal home: I would love a quiet, stable home with other dogs who can show me the ropes. Because I like to sit outside and take in the world (and am still nervous about it!), a fenced yard is a huge benefit. My ideal adopter: I’d like an adopter that is patient, gentle, nurturing, willing to let me develop at my own pace, and who will engage with me without being overwhelming. If you are patient with me, I promise to fill your life with the most heartwarming moments and endless loyalty! Additional info you might want to know about Masie, from Masie’s foster mom: With each passing day, Masie reveals more of her true self and blossoms into the loving, faithful companion that she was always meant to be. The future family that takes her under their wing will undoubtedly find her journey to be an incredibly rewarding one, as they watch Masie continue to discover the joy of being a cherished member of a loving home. Masie's early days were spent in the care of a breeder, where she had little exposure to the outside world. The lack of socialization left her feeling timid and unsure about the human world. When she first entered her new foster home, she was a timid and frightened soul, always scurrying about and seeking refuge in hidden corners. Now, Masie has been in her foster home for 2.5 months and has slowly transitioned from a very shut down and scared little girl to gaining more trust! She is showing more and more interest in her surroundings and the going ons in the house. She still has a tendency to put herself in a corner, yet within minutes is sitting on a dog bed or getting up on the couch. She has even taken big steps joining her canine foster siblings and foster mom on the couch! She does not appear to be frightened of the other pets in the home and is finding friends with the other fosters.
