Energy Level: Low Color & Markings: Black and tan Good with other dogs: Yes; calm dogs Good with cats: Unknown Homes with children under 8 can be considered: No Object aggression: Some with other dogs Special Needs: None Medications: Monthly heartworm and flea/tick preventative; Trazadone Crate Trained: Yes House Trained: Yes Physical Fence Required: Preferred My likes: I love being in my bed on the couch next to my people. I also love to get in the car. I just started chewing antlers and have found I'm super into them! My dislikes: I do not like anyone touching my feet! I'm also not a fan of noisy environments, because they can overstimulate me and I'll startle easily. I prefer a nice quiet place to chill! I get along with: I get along with people and most dogs; I prefer my canine friends to be laid back and confident. I do get possessive of toys, food and my crate with other dogs, so folks will have to be accommodating and figure out what works best to keep everyone happy if there is another dog in the house. My ideal home: I'd love a quiet, laid-back home where I can just hang out. A confident canine sibling who isn't nervous would be nice, but I'd be happy as an only dog as well. Since I'm looking for a chill atmosphere, a home without kids would be best—do you know how loud kids can be?! I'm not a fan! A fenced yard would be nice so that I could putter around and explore, but I do walk nicely on a leash. My ideal adopter: My ideal adopter is someone with a calm, easy-going personality, and preferable one that has some experience with dogs that have some anxious tendencies. What can I say, a lot of things are scary! Additional info you might want to know about me: I can be a little anxious, but boy am I the best! Once I'm comfortable with you, I love to give you "walrus kisses" and touch your face with my whiskers. I also love, love, love attention! I prefer it from women, but I am getting more confident around men every day, as long as they are calm and don't talk too loud. Did I mention that I like a quiet environment? Noise just excites me too much and I get overstimulared. I do jump a little when I'm overwhelmed, and despite my small size, I'm pretty strong and can jump really high! I listen well though, and understand "no," "dinner," and "potty," so I've basically got all the important things in life down already. In the mornings, I'll just stay in my bed and lounge around until you tell me "good morning!" in a cheerful voice. Then, I'm all yours and ready to be with you all day! Please welcome Ruckus to BBR! This bio will be updated as we learn more about him. Stay tuned! Prior to applying to adopt Ruckus, please review our adoption process on our website with rules and process information.
