I also like if you sing to me—I will prance around like the princess I am! I’m also learning that getting pets is pretty great! My dislikes: My foster mom tells me I am like the Cowardly Lion. As everything is still new, I am skittish but will attempt things once I get my courage up. It may take some coaxing, but I will at least give it a try! I get along with: I like dogs and people! I haven’t met a cat yet, so I don’t have an opinion on those. Because I'm a little skittish, children can be a bit too much for me at this time. My ideal home: A quiet household with a physical fence is best so that I can feel safe while I explore the yard and gain confidence. Another friendly dog or two would be wonderful, as I love the company of my canine foster siblings and learn from their bravery. Because I’m still working on house training and learning routines, I’ll do best where someone is home often or has a flexible schedule to let me out regularly. My ideal adopter: My ideal adopter will be kind, gentle, and willing to go at my pace and give me the reassurance I need when I feel unsure. They’ll also be committed to giving me my daily eye drops for life and helping me grow into a confident dog. If you’re patient, encouraging and don’t mind singing me a silly song now and then, we’ll be the perfect match! Additional info you might want to know about me: I’m a gentle soul experiencing a lot of “firsts” in life. I do find comfort in my crate and will go there when I’m not feeling so brave. However, I have a cute personality that really shines when I start to realize I’m safe. I'm a smart girl and carefully work things out, whether it’s figuring out stairs or taking a treat by hand. My foster mom often does a lot of slow movements and “on-the-floor crawls” to show me the world isn’t so scary. With patience, consistency, and love, I’m learning better habits and blossoming more every day into the dog I was always meant to be. I am going to make a wonderful companion!
