Origination Place: Breeder surrender Last Update: 04/14/2025 Age: 8 years DOB: Unknown Gender: Male Weight: 27 lbs. Energy Level: Low Color & Markings: Merle Good with other dogs: Yes Good with cats: Unknown, but suspect yes Homes with children under 8 (but over 5) can be considered: Yes Object Aggression: None Special Needs: None Medications: Monthly heartworm and flea/tick preventative Crate Trained: Yes House Trained: Working on it! Physical Fence Required: Preferred My likes: I love being around people. I like being cuddled and touched and talked to—basically, I want to be wherever my person is. I also enjoy pulling toys out of the toy box, even if I’m not sure what to do with all of them. I'm just a naturally curious guy. My dislikes: I get a little nervous when I’m left alone. I mean, what if something exciting happens and I miss it? Foster mom says I have FOMO, and honestly… fair. But I’m not a loud complainer or anything—I just get a little sad. I get along with: I’ve met other dogs—both big and small—and I like them! I’m pretty easy to get along with, especially if someone gives me attention. Humans of all sizes are great too. I haven’t met any cats yet, but unless they actively insult me, my foster mom thinks I’d be fine with them. My ideal home: My dream home is somewhere calm, with someone who wants a cuddle buddy more than a hiking partner. I love to roam the yard, so a home with a fenced yard would be great, but not required. I like other dogs, so a home with canine friends would be fun. My ideal adopter: My ideal adopter is someone who needs me as much as I need them. Maybe you work from home, or maybe you just want a little shadow with a smooshy face. Either way, if you’re looking for a calm, affectionate, and loyal buddy, I’m your guy. Additional info you might want to know about me: I’m a laid-back guy who just wants to be your best friend. I enjoy playtime and walks, but I’m not here to win any marathons—my distance running days are behind me, though I’ve still got major pep in my step! I absolutely love being by your side. My foster mom works from home, and I spend most of the day napping in the chair next to hers. It’s kind of our thing. Sometimes I pop into her video meetings, just to remind everyone who’s really in charge around here. I’m so laid back that loud noises don’t bother me at all, so things like thunder or the vacuum are no big deal. Honestly, silence is overrated. Please welcome Toby to BBR! This bio will be updated as we learn more about him. Stay tuned! Prior to applying to adopt Toby, please review our adoption process on our website with rules and process information.
