International Bulldogs in Our Care​

Below you will find bulldogs that are currently in our care that were rescued from the China meat trade. Many are awaiting medical care or are simply adjusting to life in a foster home while we get to know them so that we can better determine their needs for placement.

Dogs are listed as:
1) ON HOLD – We are evaluating the dog medically and behaviorally at either our temporary facility or in foster. We will not review any apps received for these dogs until they are cleared and moved to AVAILABLE status. You are welcome to apply at any time but we encourage you to wait until they are listed as available in case they do not hit our available page.
2) AVAILABLE - We are accepting applications.
3) PENDING ADOPTION - We are reviewing applications and doing the appropriate checks. This can take 2-3 weeks or longer.

The cost to bring these dogs stateside is high and we are grateful that we can do so. But to not take away from our other rescue bullies from the States, we have decided to up the application fee to $25 to help offset those costs.

Ways You Can Help the ​International Bulldogs

When we were first contacted in 2019 to help with a group of Frenchies saved from being victim of the meat trade, we had to ask ourselves several questions: Could we afford it? Did we have the volunteer support? Could we find enough flight volunteers? Where would they go when they arrived? How would we coordinate vet care?

​It was going to be a huge endeavor financially and otherwise with mounds of paperwork, volunteer coordination, flight coordination, temporary facility setup and maintenance, etc. We had to be sure that our volunteers were also up to the challenge. When we reached out to gauge interest, we were so humbled by the support and we just couldn't say no. This year, we were faced with the same questions, but again: We just could not say no! With your help, we can greatly improve the lives of over 50 bulldogs who would otherwise face a similar fate.
